Special Offerings

On various Sundays throughout the year we collect for special offerings. These give congregants the opportunity to give in different ways.

Souper Bowl Sunday: This is our only purely local collection.    The money goes to Community Social Services inWaukegan.

Week of Compassion: This collection goes to Week of Compassion who uses it where it is most needed.

We have several collections through the year that are given to the denomination through the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). These collections occur at various times of the year and have special themes.

·        Easter Collection - general ministries

·        Pentecost - new church development

·        Thanksgiving - higher education institutions for developing church leaders
