Equip
At CCC, we are called to equip people

with a Christ-centered faith that works in real life

CCC can equip you with a Christ-centered faith:
That you may share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ
. ~ 2 Thessalonians 2:14

Adult Sunday School & Children's Learning Time
Teresa Elliott leads our Adult Sunday School every Sunday in the church office from 9-9:30am. It is a brief, yet insightful time to grow in our faith together. Children's Learning Time will be available at this time for infants through 4th grade, location to be determined. Youth in 5th grade and up can keep themselves busy in the Youth Room.

Sermons in the Round
This is a small group led by Pastor Bryan in which you can get together and pray, share the word and enjoy fellowship.  You will be able to ask questions about the week’s sermon in a group setting.  Time will also be spent praying for one another and other prayer needs as they arise.  This is just one opportunity to grow in relationship as well as in your faith.  This group meets every Tuesday at 10 am.  Hope to see you there!

Mid-Week Evening Adult Bible Study
Several of you have voiced interest in a mid week bible study. The time that seems most conducive to your schedule was 7pm, Thursday. Our mid-week bible study discussion will be on the Beatitudes - Developing Spiritual Character, and will begin on Thursday, September 29, 2011 and will run for eight weeks, through November 17, 2011. If you would like to attend the cost of the book is $8 and we need confirmation of your attendance so we can purchase the books. Please contact the church office or Pastor Bryan at 847-664-0577.

CCC Women
Our women's group generally meets once a month for fellowship and a meal.

CCC Men
Our Men’s Group generally meets the first Saturday of each month at 8 a.m. for breakfast and to discuss books and topics that develop the spiritual lives of our men.

Sunday School
For our children we offer Sunday School during the 10 am worship service. All children in prescool through 6th grade are welcome to attend our rotation model classes after the children's sermon in the sanctuary. Our youth have differing opportunities each Sunday: the first Sunday of the month, youth in 7th - 12th grade meet in the youth room for a special worship service designed specifically for them. On the second Sunday of the month, youth in 7th - 9th grade attend the Authentic U. class in the Youth Room. The following Sundays of the month, the youth attend worship or volunteer with the chidren's Sunday School.

Children's Learning Time
Each Sunday from 9-9:30 am, all children meet while adults go to Sunday School. The kids learn while playing with our experienced staff of child care professionals.

Stephen Ministry
When you are in need of spiritual assistance, a Stephen Minister will care for you by listening, supporting, encouraging, praying, being dependable, and trustworthy and maintaining confidentiality in their caregiving. If you would like more information, please contact our minister.

Shepherding Program
The Ministry of Elders take an interest in building closer relationships within the church. For that reason they will pray for families on a regular basis while "checking in" with these families periodically to keep in touch.

Prayer

The Lord will hear when I call Him. ~ Psalm 4:3

Prayer works. At CCC, we have witnessed this truth time and time again, which is why we take prayer so seriously here. “I’m praying for you” isn’t some empty platitude; it’s a powerful promise! As Christians, when we pray, God listens.

Prayer in Worship
There are many opportunities for prayer during our Sunday morning services. We pray as a congregation out loud, the prayer Jesus taught his disciples: The Lord’s Prayer (Matt. 6:9-13). Prayer concerns are accepted and lifted up by name. These names will be in the prayers of the ministers and elders for the following week.

Blue Card Prayers

Blue cards can be found in the friendship folders in the church pews. If you have a prayer concern or a joy write it on these cards and place them in the offering plate. These cards are prayed for after worship by the elders. If you include an address we will send that person a card.

Prayer Group
This group meets every Tuesday morning at 9 am in the prayer room.

Short Term and Long Term Prayer Lists
We have two main prayer lists that help keep concerns in our hearts.

The short term prayer list is found on the back page of the Sunday worship bulletin and in the Weekly Word email. Names added to that list will appear for three consecutive weeks, after which, if there is need to continue, they will be moved to the long term prayer list.
Names on the long-term prayer list are posted on the prayer banner in Friendship Hall and included in the Weekly Word. We will also periodically put the long-term prayer list on an insert in the bulletin and in the newsletter. The Ministers and Elders pray for those on the short term and long-term lists. Names may be added to the prayer lists by submitting a blue prayer card during worship as well as by calling or emailing the church office.
